Siyuan (Stella) Wang

Research Fellow

Stella is a postdoctoral researcher in the Shih Lab working on making crisscross origami structures bigger and better with surface-supported assembly. She obtained her PhD in Molecular Biology at UT Austin working in the Ellington Lab and her BS in Biomolecular Engineering at Caltech. Her research interests include combining DNA nanotechnology with synthetic biology and developing nucleic acid-based tools for research and therapeutics.

Stella enjoys a good run paired with a good podcast. When she’s not experimenting in the lab, Stella can be found experimenting in the kitchen with new flavor combinations for baking recipes or experimenting at her MIDI keyboard with new digital sounds.
